What we stand for

Create role models for Peace.

Imparting long term non-violent attitudes in schools to create a safe, open class environment.

Uplifters is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 that strengthens future generations and strives for a positive change in the school environment. We notice that children are confronted with aggressive behavior in different forms from an early age on. To prevent imitation and excessive demands, we offer an innovative concept in which these matters can be discussed openly. This concept discusses pupils, educational professionals and parents. Our multi-day workshops contain various methods that offer alternatives of dealing with conflicts. With this approach, we don’t want to focus on the struggles instead on positive aspects. Shared society (Link) is an example of how we try to improve our society in long-term.

We oppose violence in our work. In order to make the concept of violence more comprehensible, we divide violence into different forms:

  • physical
  • psychological
  • verbal
  • structural
  • cultural
  • medial

Our work is based on the following values:

  • peaceful environment
  • increased positive self-esteem
  • strengthened sense of belonging
  • respectful interaction with each other
  • creating equality
  • achieving justice
